Questions

Ask before you order.

Everything here comes from our delivery and returns policies. If your question is not answered, write to us with your order number.

The bedding

What is in a set?

Four pieces in the same colour: one duvet cover, one fitted sheet and two pillowcases.

Which size should I order?

Four sizes are made: Single, Double, King and Super King. Choose by the duvet you already own rather than by the bed it sits on. A King duvet on a Double bed still needs a King cover.

Will the colour match what I see on screen?

No two screens are calibrated the same way, so treat every photograph as a guide rather than a match. Our warm shades, Madder Stripe, Bracken, Peat and Campion Check, almost always photograph brighter than they look in a room. Our palest shades, Chalk and Barley, borrow from whatever surrounds them. If you are hesitating between two, the one that looks darker on screen is usually the safer choice. Our Good to know page goes shade by shade.

Do the colours work together?

They were chosen as one set rather than as separate products, so any two of them will sit together without clashing. The pairings that work hardest are a pattern with a plain: Madder Stripe with Barley, Flint Stripe with Chalk, Campion Check with Sage. Two patterns in one room is a decision rather than an accident, and usually one too many.

Why does it arrive creased, and do I need to iron it?

Every piece is washed before dispatch, so it arrives relaxed rather than pressed. Creasing is a characteristic of washed linen, not a defect. You will not need to iron it: smoothing it by hand as you make the bed is enough, and the cloth softens rather than wears with each wash.

How do I wash it?

Follow the care label in the set. Wash it on its own the first time, as you would any dyed cloth, and at the temperature on the label. Done that way it will not surprise you.

Will two sets be exactly the same shade?

Slight variation in shade and in surface between production batches is normal. If you want two sets to match as closely as possible, order them together.

Delivery

How much is delivery?

Free on every United Kingdom order, tracked, with no minimum spend and no code to enter. Europe is €3.99 and the United States is £3.99.

How long will my order take?

Orders are dispatched within two working days and United Kingdom orders typically arrive within nine days of the day you order.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays; orders placed at a weekend are processed from the following Monday. Timings for other destinations are in our Delivery policy.

Where do you dispatch from?

Goods are dispatched from the United Kingdom.

Will I pay customs or import duties?

Orders delivered outside the United Kingdom may attract import duties, local taxes and customs handling charges. These are set by the destination country and payable by the recipient. They are not included in the price you pay at checkout, and we cannot predict their amount.

My order has not arrived. What now?

If it has been more than 14 days since you ordered, write to us and we will investigate with the carrier. If a parcel is confirmed lost in transit, we replace it or refund it in full, your choice.

Tracking

How do I follow my parcel?

You receive a confirmation email when you order, and a tracking number when the parcel leaves us. Our Track your order page lets you paste the number straight in.

Can I change my delivery address?

Only before dispatch. Once a parcel has left us the address cannot be changed. If it comes back to us because the address was wrong or nobody could receive it, we will contact you to arrange redelivery, and a further delivery charge may apply.

Returns and refunds

How long do I have to change my mind?

Thirty days from the day you receive it, for a full refund of the price you paid. This is our own guarantee and it sits on top of your statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

What condition does it need to be in?

In a condition that allows us to resell it: unwashed, unslept-in, and with its original packaging where possible.

You are welcome to open the packaging and inspect what you ordered. Handling an item as you would in a shop will never affect your refund.

Who pays the return postage?

For a change of mind, you do, and we recommend a tracked service: until the parcel reaches us it remains your responsibility.

If an item arrives faulty, damaged or different from what you ordered, we arrange and pay for the return ourselves.

How do I start a return?

Write to contact@camilinbed.com before sending anything back, so we can confirm the current address and give you a reference to include. Full details are in our Returns policy.

When will I get my money back?

Refunds go to the original payment method. How quickly it appears then depends on your bank or card issuer.

Something arrived damaged or wrong.

Tell us within 30 days of delivery, with your order number and a photograph of the problem, and you may reject it for a full refund. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, photograph it before opening it if you can.
